Interior designer talks about where to buy wallpaper

If your walls could talk, you might know they’re looking for excitement. When furnishing a home, people usually focus on the basics first, like a plush rug, a soft yet durable sofa, and comfortable sheets, and for good reason. But often this means that by the time you finally divert your attention to styling areas such as blank walls, decision fatigue has taken over. They might be content with just a few pictures and a dab of neutral paint. However, if you have a little time, you can get a great effect with a few wallpaper panels.

With the right repetition, you can transform a basic beige box into a space full of personality. If you only have the energy (and budget) to make one major change, a simple makeover can go a long way. “Items rely on a strong context, or ‘envelope,'” explains Los Angeles-based interior designer Oliver Firth. “Nothing transforms a space like a good envelope. I love using wallpaper to create ambience and add coziness.”
